New Grayskull custom done ICE Castle! MOTU 4ever!

Hi all,

Here is the newest custom Grayskull. Just completed last night. It is a Frozen or ICE castle. And this job was and outside and inside one. Fun!

It was commissioned by Mr. Sage. He had a ton of good ideas and we narrowed it down to this one. Now, I should note, he is the best kinda guy to do a commission for. He had ideas, and we communicated often and clearly with each other. So, it was a team effort...and I love Grayskull projects like this.

So, here we are!

The Ice Castle is HOT! or maybe Chill?

I try and take indoor and outdoor pictures of the castles I create. Some castles look best in the sun, others in studio lights. This is a studio castle for sure! Caught the colors perfectly.

This is the insides of the frozen castle.

One single frozen skull. I think it has huge impact like this.
Some added accessories!

Frozen Weapons rack and weapons.

Frozen Throne and Skeleton.
I wanted a geological structure. Something like a frozen tree or bush. This find was perfect and painted up right.

So, I did everything I planned to...except icicles. They are too fragile and don't travel. Otherwise, this turned out great and I am very happy with it.

Thanks all for taking a look. I am still available for custom Grayskulls. I think my next one is my 20th? I think... I have to go back and count. lol.

This was my 24th castle. My count was off. lol.

Lots of New TANKS! Cobra Hiss Tank Customs are fun and affordable here at Castle BROSKULL

Hi all,

Lots of of updates. I enjoy Mondays because I get a chance to update everyone on the work I did the previous week. I like to post of FB and do my blog post here. Sometimes, I am rushing when I post things. Sorry. I need to slow down. I'm always running in the door from the Post Office, having shipped out customs and like...I can't wait to do the blog post!!!

So here are some new things to show.

Today's theme: Tanks! Tanks! Tanks!

Inside shot of the newest Dreadnok Commission. The Crocodile Tank!

Crazy! I know!
But the Dreadnoks love it!
This would make a great ride for Croc Master....if he didn't just get eaten!

You can fit a Dreadnok in driver or gunner spot.

Why would I do this? Or... How did I do this? Well, I am thinking outside the box obviously. And in order to pull this one off, I had to counterweight the back of the tank, because that skull was heavy! lol

This is meant to be a cool ride for any Dreadnok or Zartan... it is swamp-ed out. I'm very happy with the results, and so is the guy who commissioned it.

But wait! The BATS are back! And this time they are Battle-damaged!!!

Look at the anguish of that battle damaged BATS in the back!

Rolling. Rolling. Rolling.
Side view - YES...that is a giant screw through the driver.

Side view
This was another commission and I really decided to roll with the idea of them being damaged. So I suspended the gunner and made it look like he had been torn in half.

Like it? I love it. lol

And.... One more vehicle for the Dreadnoks! Well... for ROAD PIG!

Road Pig has a custom HISS too!

Armored up.

Skulls and Wire.

This was another commission job. I love the rusty feel to the armor. Then adding the "plates" that look new, I felt, went along with the character. This one is just plain beautiful-killer-rad in person!

Hope you like the new HISS tanks I had to show. I would love to make you one. Contact me. And remember, the cost of my customs is already low, and even lower if you send me the toy you want painted. :)

A few new projects to show off. Ghostbusters, GI JOE and More!

Hi all,

Busy week. Here are a few of the projects I worked on and finished.

First up! I wanted to customize this Funko Pop I had laying around. Do something quick and easy so I could sell it cheap to someone who is following my page or FB group.

Winner: Batman

I made this Armored Batman into a Batman Vs. Superman Batman. After the fight. He is battle damaged and has a bloody nose. See the Kryptonite gloves? They sparkle and glow in dark.

AND...It is still available.

I also worked on "transforming" this GI JOE Cobra Maggot into a Transformers Movie Megatron. It was a commission that at first I was unsure of, then embraced. I love how it turned out. I even got some Decepticon stickers for it.  This was a large project because of all the parts. But MAN, did it turn out great.

Look at the colors!!!

The logo sticker sells it.

The Silver and Purple are a great combo.

From JOES to Transformers. A nice blend of lines.

Three parts.

See the computer screens, I mad them look like they have feedback/snow.

Painted the chair brown. Could not resist.

That's not all. I had this cool project from my buddy Ty Dunbar. He sent me a nice rubbery Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. And I knew it had to get "toasted."

Look at him. Enjoying a day off in the hot tub. He has NO clue what is about to happen.

They came, they saw, they kicked his ass!

Toasted Marshmallow time!

Yeah... it looks so good burning. Ty loved the pics I sent him. :) This was a simple, clean, gesso, repaint job. But with lots of detail work.

AND.... wait... one more!

The BlowTorch Corp has a new ride for the army builders.  YO JOE!

No one will see this APC coming!

The Red and Yellow in full effect!

So you may or may not know this, but the APC is one of my top 3 favorite JOE vehicles. I really love it. It is sturdy and rolls great. It fits a ton of figures. It just looks damn cool!

Yeah, I jumped at the chance to customize one. In fact, I really didn't make much more than shipping on this project. I just wanted to see it happen.

This is also a rare example of my spray painting. AS PER request of the person who commissioned me. So you gotta give the people what they want.

Camo and stickers - check!

Weapons ready - check!

Smooth and crisp - check!

Sun and fire protective glass - check. Let's roll!

Hope you enjoyed all the new projects! I have more to show. Soon. I am also taking more commissions. So please contact me.

Thanks all!

Castle Broskull does more than MOTU and JOES! We do Star Wars too!

Hi all,

Lots of completed projects to share here at Castle BROSKULL.

First off, I want everyone to understand... I will customize anything you send me. Not just MOTU and GI JOES.

In order to prove this, I had someone send me a Star Wars Snowspeeder. I offered them a deal. Send me a nice one, I will custom paint it and send it back. 1/2 price! Even paying 1/2 the shipping.

So here are some progress and finished shots. As you will see the Snowspeeder arrived in good condition but dirty and yellow/brown with age. No worries. I always clean the toys I am sent first. It's part of the deal!

Dirty, but it good shape.

I undercoated this black to pull up the details. Trust me. You'll see.

Here you can see I have started the brush work to make it look battle worn.

I am primarily a brush artist. So that means, I will use a brush to apply paint to my projects. It gives them soul. See all the texture here!?! I was given full range to do whatever I wanted, so I wanted to paint a ship that looked like it had been around for years. Survived a lot of battles, but had smoke and fire and phaser wear and tear. So I added some color to the snowspeeder....some beige and peach tones.

Finished indoor shot!

See the stains and splatter. I even used an ink to color stain the windshield.

Here are some outdoor lighting photos. This project turned out exactly as I had hoped. I did not want to send it back to its owner! That is always a good sign. But seriously, this was what I saw in my head and I made it into a reality. For an artist that is huge!

Snowspeeder looking amazing!

Look at the details and texture that comes alive when you brush paint it.

So I am happy and I want to do more Star Wars projects! I might have some lined up in a month.

Now...that's not all I want to share. Check this out.

I have been doing a lot of HISS Tanks from the GI JOE line. This one was a commission to take a Cobra tank and make it into a GI JOE tank that Blowtorch would love to drive. So I painted it in a vermilion and yellow camo color scheme and added some smoke damage to it. So it looks like it has been in some fires.  I also bought replacement stickers to decorate it with.... but the most fun part??? I added the Pac Rat Flamethrower to the front.

Blowtorch can style and profile.

Flame thrower in front. Made to look like its melted some.
Side and back view.

Happy with results.

I enjoyed transforming and customizing this one. It was a challenge to make it look weathered with smoke and fire. I tried to just do some light(not too heavy) effects.

Hope you all enjoy these updates.

More to come.
